As the MMCCA Legislative Committee begins taking a closer look at Mississippi’s privilege license laws and identifying areas where modernization and reform may be needed, we need your input.
Please take approximately 20 minutes to complete the MMCCA Privilege License Survey by Friday, August 14.
Your feedback is extremely important to this process. Municipal clerks are the ones administering these statutes every day, and practices can vary significantly from municipality to municipality. Before we begin developing recommendations or discussing potential legislative changes, we need a clear picture of how privilege licenses are currently being assessed, issued, collected, enforced, and managed across the state.

Our goal is to make sure that any recommendations coming from the Legislative Committee are informed by the clerks and deputy clerks who actually administer these laws. The stronger our participation, the stronger the data we will have when advocating for meaningful and practical changes.
