Good afternoon everyone, 

Unfortunately we are cancelling the 50^th Annual Mississippi Municipal Clerks Spring Conference. Please know we MUST cancel our upcoming event that is scheduled for March 25-27.  We are attempting to reschedule the event at a mutually convenient date and, if we can do this, we will get back to you for the best available date(s).  Please note that this cancellation is due to the Corona Virus pandemic and the University’s commitment to minimizing exposure to all of our constituents.  The Hollywood resort has been notified of the cancellation, but you might want to check with the hotel regarding your personal reservation.

We will be processing full refunds for everyone who has registered.  If we are able to reschedule in the future we will send new registration information to everyone. 

We were looking forward seeing all of you, but it looks like it will have to be further in the future.

Accommodations

Hotel Information
The host venue and hotel is HOLLYWOOD RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER.  There are other options available to you, but they are not nearby and this is is the only hotel at which  a "block rate" has been established for you.  The negotiated rate for your event is $79/night for Double-Queen or King Non-Smoking, plus applicable taxes/fees. 

Reservations

Call the hotel direct at 800-946-2442 and tell them you are with the Mississippi Municipal Clerks and Collectors group (CODED as MMC0325).  You will be required to hold the room with a credit card.  If you wish to get your room tax-exempt, make arrangements directly with the hotel.  They are likely to want payment by city check or city-issued credit card.

Room rate:  KING or DOUBLE QUEEN - $79/night, plus local sales tax and occupancy taxes.  Rooms will be held until 2/24/20, after which date, any remaining rooms in the block will be released.

Location

HOLLYWOOD RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER is in Bay St. Louis, but getting there can prove challenging.  I suggest that you load the address into your GPS system or have a serious discussion with SIRI.

NOTE:  The rate does not include breakfast, but breakfast is available for purchase in the hotel common area.  Light continental items will be provided in the meeting room, but if you're a "big" breakfast-eater, consider the Hollywood's options available or consider driving the short distance into Bay St. Louis for something more home-grown
